The following pictures are from our 4th of July parade in downtown Fairfax. It was about as Americana as you can get. The parade went right past the old Courthouse where Union and Confederate troops camped throughout the war. All of Fairfax was blocked off and the parade had something for everyone. I can't remember how many lollipops Robert and I ate, but everytime their were kids in the parade, it seemed like they were handing out handfuls of lollipops. The best parts of the parade was seeing Elmo, Pooh, Dora, Superman, and shaking hands with Mark Warner...Virginia's next Senator.
